Feature prioritization tools attract product managers and founders who are deciding what to build next. Every prioritized backlog reveals their product roadmap, team constraints, and strategic priorities — ideal data for product consultancies and dev agencies.
How It Works
List your features
Enter the features, improvements, or initiatives you are considering. Include a brief description and any context about effort or impact for each.
AI scores and ranks
The AI evaluates each feature across impact, effort, strategic alignment, and user demand — placing them in an impact-vs-effort matrix.
Export your roadmap
Download your prioritized backlog with scores and rationale. Share with your team to align on what to build first.

What is Feature Priority Score?
A feature prioritization framework scores potential features across user impact, development effort, strategic alignment, and revenue potential.
The Formula
Priority Score = (Impact × Weight₁ + Revenue × Weight₂) ÷ (Effort × Weight₃)
Worked Example
Feature A: impact 8/10, revenue 7/10, effort 3/10 (low). Feature B: impact 6/10, revenue 9/10, effort 8/10 (high).
- Feature A: (8 × 0.4 + 7 × 0.3) ÷ (3 × 0.3) = 5.3 ÷ 0.9 = 5.9
- Feature B: (6 × 0.4 + 9 × 0.3) ÷ (8 × 0.3) = 5.1 ÷ 2.4 = 2.1
- Feature A priority: 5.9 (build first)
- Feature B priority: 2.1 (defer or simplify)
📌 Feature A scores 2.8x higher — high impact with low effort makes it the clear winner over high-effort Feature B.
Why This Matters
Resource efficiency
Building the wrong features wastes 40-60% of development resources. Prioritization ensures maximum value per sprint.
User satisfaction
Shipping high-impact features first improves NPS 2x faster than building features users do not actually need.
Revenue acceleration
Prioritizing revenue-driving features first funds the development of everything else. Cash flow dictates roadmap.
Common Mistakes
❌ Building for loudest customers
The most vocal customers are not always representative. Validate requests against data from the broader user base.
❌ Not scoring effort accurately
Development estimates are typically 2-3x too optimistic. Use historical data, not gut feel, for effort scoring.
❌ Ignoring maintenance cost
Every feature adds ongoing maintenance burden. A feature with 10% of the value but 30% of maintenance cost is a bad trade.
Industry Benchmarks
| Category | Good | Average | Poor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Feature Hit Rate | 60%+ adopted | 30-60% adopted | Below 20% adopted |
| Development Efficiency | 70%+ on high-priority | 50-70% | Below 40% |
| User Satisfaction | NPS improving | NPS stable | NPS declining |
